Sasha Sparks gives an exclusive interview to Freeones where she answers some very interesting questions about what it’s like for her working in the adult industry…

What led you into the porn business?
This is going to be the standard stripper turns porn star story, lol! Ok, when I was barely 17 I started college in Atlanta and realised how hard it was to be on your own in a large city. One of the girls in my dorm was a stripper, and as soon as I turned 18 she took me to the club and I started dancing. I loved it! Getting money and attention to do the same thing I do at home in the mirror, hell yeah! Not too long after that, I answered an add in the local paper looking for bikini models. Turned out they were an agency that booked girls for much more than just bikini modeling, lol. I was booked for a few fetish and bondage sites, and it stuck. I found my niche! I started getting so many bookings, I could barely keep up!

Did you do anything else before you got into this business?
Not really, I started young! (Unless you count working at a fast food restaurant as a teenager to help pay for school). I have pretty much always been a professional perv, lol.

If you had the opportunity to erase this part of your life and start over, would you?
I would do what I believe most of us would like to do. Go back and begin with the knowledge I have now, and do it even better! I have never regretted my decision to do porn, i love it!

Are you open about your profession with anyone that asks, or are there certain people who you are reluctant to tell?
I am pretty much open. My mom has always known, and she is very cool and supportive about it. Sometimes when she calls and I tell her I am working, she asks if I am naked and then she laughs at me, lol. Most of my family are crazy perverts themselves, haha! The only person who doesn’t have a clue about it is my 92 year old southern Baptist grandmother. I really don’t want to give her another heart attack!

How long do you intend to remain in this business? Are you planning on working up until you can no longer find work or is there a particular time line you have?
I don’t have any sort of time line. As long as I am looking good, I will be there. When I get too old, there’s always the granny porn niche as well, lol.

There seems to be a general perception that participants in this business live life “in the fast lane,” because to most of us it seems that sex and partying goes hand in hand.  With that being said, how do you find the time to get rest with all this excitement going on?
It can definitely be a challenge! Especially when you are out of town working, and everyone wants to constantly party. Thankfully I have gotten most of that out of my system at this point. I still love to party, but you just have to have some discipline and know when enough is enough.

How much control do you have of your work? Do you get to choose who you work with?
I always maintain a level of control. I would never do anything I was not comfy with for a paycheck. Sometimes I get to choose my partners. Thankfully, most people don’t want to see ugly chicks in porn, so I have never had a problem with anyone I was paired up with, lol! I am just now starting to do b/g (I have always stuck to g/g), and I have hand picked the boys I will be “working” with for my new site - http://www.sashasparks.com ! (soooo excited….:)

Can you refuse to do scenes with people you don’t click with?
Absolutely, but thankfully, I have never had to.

Do you have your say about the use (or not) of condoms in a scene if you do b/g hardcore?
That depends on what company or site you are working with. If I don’t know the guy personally, I would personally prefer condoms, up until the money shot of course! Most people are tested, but nothing is foolproof.

What is the best part of your job? The worst?
The best part of my job is getting paid to get off! I also get to travel quite a bit, all expenses paid. I have been able to see and do some pretty amazing things all over this country of ours. I could never be happy with the nine to five corporate thing! In this industry I can be myself, and pretty much set my own schedule. The only downside to doing porn is people with agendas. I have met a couple people who wanted me for what they thought I would do for them. One guy in particular just wanted to use me as a networking tool, I’m serious! I can see right through that kind of thing, thankfully, haha!

What is the strangest thing you’ve been asked to do on set? Did you do it?
Hmmmm, I do strange things on set on a regular basis, lol! Once a really hardcore bondage producer asked if he could nail my nipples to a board. Literally drive nails through them. I said HELL NO, lol!!

What is the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you while on the job?
A few years ago I had semi short hair. I would pull it up into a tiny bun and wear a long clip in ponytail. I was on the main stage, dancing at a club, and right in the middle of the song, the ponytail fell, or I should say, FLEW off, right into this guys lap, lol! He was sitting up at the stage, so I laughed, picked it up, quickly and haphazardly stuck it back on, and kept going. Well, because I couldn’t really get it on right without leaving the stage and going to the dressing room, it happened again! Really sexy, right, lol! I did get a lot of symphathy tips though! All you can really do in a situation like that is run away crying or laugh at yourself. I would rather laugh, haha.

Should there be more kissing on the lips between actors, or is kissing considered “too intimate” for the porn business?
Personally, kissing and just making out in general is what really gets me going. If I have chemistry with that person and we’re just kissing passionatly, I will be soaking wet before my top even comes off! I am all for it, but I do understand if some actors are not. Now I need to go make out with someone immediately……….;)

What is the first thing you did or bought with your first porn paycheck?
It wasn’t a car, a sex toy arsenal, a new wardrobe or anything like that. Honestly it was a plane ticket to go see my family back home. I know, I’m a sweetie, lol. (sometimes:)

Do you feel that “fame” has crimped your lifestyle similar to what a maintream film star might feel?
Oh no, not at all. I don’t consider myself famous. Most people who recognize me are my fans in the bondage/fetish scene. I was recognized at an airport once, and it was a little weird, but very cool!

Has porn affected your personal sex life? If so, how?
Actually, I believe porn has improved my personal sex life. I have learned a lot about human sexuality along the way. So I suppose it has been an educational experience, lol!

Do you have any pets?
I do have pets, I am a huge dog lover! I have two labs. Ziggy is my 11yr old black lab and Neco is my 6 month old yellow lab. Ziggy is the coolest dog in the universe, I swear he thinks he’s a human. I could gush all day about my babies!

What do you like to do when you’re not working? Do you have any hobbies?
Yes, definitely, I have a ton of hobbies that I don’t always have time for. I really like anything involving art. Fun stuff, like decopaging random things with porn mags I cut up, lol! I also love painting, raiding thrift stores for things to paint and redesign, decorating, music, reading, makeup (I am also a makeup artist), cooking and just hanging out with my doggies and insane friends, lol!

What are your future ambitions?
My main goal at the moment is working with Vicky Vette on my newly revised site, http://www.sashasparks.com. Vicky is my new and improved webmaster, and we have both been working really hard on the site. So far it rocks! Other ambitions….do porn until I no longer have the desire (I think I will always have the desire lol), start selling my artwork, possibly go back to school for nutrition, nursing or counseling. Oh, and I must someday very soon have a 1979 TransAm, fully restored, white with a blue bird and baby blue interior. It also must have t-tops, lol! My dream car!
