Stormy Daniels gives an exclusive interview to Freeones where she answers some very interesting questions about what it’s like for her working in the adult industry…

How did you get into the porn business?
I was a touring burlesque performer or more commonly referred to as a feature dancer. My fellow feature dancer, Devon Michaels, was making the trip to LA to shoot a G/G scene for Wicked Pictures and asked if I like to come along to keep her company. A week later she got on a plane to head home and I never left…

If you had the opportunity to erase this part of your life and start over, would you?
Not a chance

Recently you’ve been making action/adventure themed movies. Do you find yourself having more fun with the action scenes (guns, explosives, etc) or the sex scenes?
That’s not really a fair comparison. I love the sex but it’s pretty cool to get blown up in a huge explosion, hang off the ledge of a building several stories or even wrestle a jungle leopard.

You’ve appeared in the movies “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up,” and “Dirt” on the FX. Do you have plans to seek out more mainstream appearances or is it more of a “I’ll take them if they come up” type thing?
I enjoy working in the entertainment industry, adult or mainstream. Being in front of the camera is great but as time goes by I see myself working behind the lens. Hopefully directing for many years to come.  
 
Do you have a favorite director that you like working with, or would jump at the opportunity of working with again?
Adult/Michael Raven, his projects are always beautiful and I’m proud to be a part of them. Mainstream/Judd Apatow, I owe him a lot and will always be there for him.
 
Out of all your work, which is your absolute favorite? Why is it your favorite?
As of this interview Operation:Desert Stormy is my favorite. I am passionate about big epic projects. I enjoy the whole process, script writing, pre-production, etc. ODS was my baby. I wrote, directed, starred, over saw the editing, worked on packaging, everything! I am very thankful to Steve O and Wicked for having the faith and giving me the budget for such an ambitious adult project.

What’s the strangest thing that you’ve been asked to do while on the set? Did you do it?
People won’t ask me to do weird stuff or things I’d be uncomfortable with. I think there is a certain level of respect between me and my peers. Plus they know I’ll beat the shit out of anyone who gives me a hard time…

You started your career at a young age. Has this presented any problems for you?
I was 22 when I signed with Wicked. I feel it was the right age for me. Old enough to know better but still young enough to have time to grow and really learn the business side of the business inside and out.

How has your choice of career affected your personal life?
My personal life is actually pretty normal. It’s the professional side of things that are a bit odd. Porn has opened many doors for me and at the same time I’ve encountered several situations where I am more then qualified for a job in production (mainly mainstream) and have not gotten it because of some peoples hang ups with my history in adult. Regardless, I just keep going forward.

There has been a lot of talk about you running for governor of Louisiana. Are these just rumors or have you actually considered campaigning?
It’s not a rumor and it’s actually Senator of Louisiana. This is something that a group of Louisiana citizens came up with unbeknownst to me. Once I was made aware of how a number of Louisianans felt about there current Senator, David Vitter, and thought ANYBODY would be better them him even me I started to explore different options. I am currently consulting with family and friends to see what my next move will be. Regardless of my decision a listening tour of Louisiana is being planned now so I can come face to face with the folks in Louisiana and find out first hand what concerns them the most now and see what I can do to help.

If you decided to follow a career into politics, would you leave the industry or try to balance the two together? Do you think that’s even possible in US politics?
I think the people who believed in you enough to vote for you are due your undivided attention. Therefore I do not think it’s possible. It’s not right to try to do both.

You’ve been a writer, director, actress, and a dancer. What’s next on your “to-do” list?
Same thing I do everyday Pinky…Try to take over the world!

What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you have any interesting hobbies?
I ride horses. Cross country, hunters and dressage

What kind of things annoy you the most?
Shady bitches. You might not like what I have to say or how I act but at least it’s the real me. My pictures are not airbrushed and I don’t have someone else running my website, myspace, etc. There is a difference in creating a fantasy for the fans and straight up lying to people. What you see is what you get…

If you could have any super power, which one would you pick? Why?
Invisible. I wouldn’t have to talk to people I didn’t want to.
