Unsurprisingly, the Facebook has joined in with the recent movement of several social media sites in changing its guidelines and rules to ban revenge porn.

Revealed in a post about said changes, many have commented that such a change of policy was unnecessary by them as they already ban porn of any kind anyway. However, their public stance against the subject is an important one, suggesting they will clamp down harder on such material than they would on legal porn.

And with their clarification that “artistic” nudity is allowed on their site (will be interesting to see how they define “artistic” nudity, that will probably a complete clusterfuck) it’s perhaps wise for them to make this move anyway. They join Twitter and Reddit in going public with such changes to their policy.
