3 Second Porn Clip Costs TV Station $325,000

FCC proposes $325,000 fine for accidental inclusion of porn on video capture in news story - The Washington Post

Over here in the UK, where I’m based, obviously we’ve had a tough time with legislation limiting so-called ‘extreme porn’ so maybe I’m not one to cast aghast glances to other parts of the world when it comes to the legislation of naughtiness.

But then I see a story like the one published in The Washington Post (this is where I should do a joke about Deep Throat what with this being a porn blog, but I won’t) where it reports that the FCC wants to slap a TV station with a $325,000 fine for the accidental broadcast of a three second porn clip that nobody even really noticed in the first place.

Just imagine the lives damaged by that clip. The minds warped. The cities that have been levelled.  And the people that could be put out of work by such a ridiculously huge and unnecessary fine.

You suck, FCC.
