British Internet Users Reject Porn Filters

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the recent net filters that were put into place by UK ISPs have been rejected by the majority of internet users, according to this.
But I think the most damning stat of all here is that 31% of people just don’t think such a filter is going to be effective at all anyway, so it really does seem as though such a filter is utterly pointless.
Might be a good time for the UK government to actually start treating people as adults and allow people to marshal their own and their families’ internet usage? Perhaps?
