FreeOnes Recommends: The Classic Porn

This week’s FreeOnes Recommends feature trawls through the huge amounts of retro porn sites out there and comes up with one of our very favourites – The Classic Porn.
With content dating back to the 1960s, but concentrating a lot of its discoveries on the golden age of porn in the 1980s, this is a site that isn’t just awesome when it comes to the sheer back catalogue of content it has collected.
A concerted effort to find titles that were considered lost or deleted really does shine them in a good light. When you consider that 40 of the films of a legendary mainstream director like John Ford are considered lost, you could easily see how porn films would fall lost.
Nobody is digging around museums and private collections looking for porn like they are doing with mainstream cinema. Porn is relatively mistreated on that front so any site, like this, that looks to find that which was considered lost deserves a lot of credit.
But it’s also just a fantastic archive of retro smut, whether you have a passing interest or are genuinely interested in porn history, as I am. Hugely recommended – you can read my review here and check the site out itself here.
