The latest release of popular search terms by Pornhub has been met by a really interesting analysis on Vice.

Examining the connotations and meaning of some of the terms that have been revealed to be most popular, it’s another article that calls into question the representation of race in porn and the view of it by many of those who use porn.

There are some really salient points here, especially when it comes to the kinds of terms used. For instance, are the searches for ‘eskimo’ porn born out of sheer racism or something rather more unknowingly innocent?

Either way, the porn industry has a lot of work to do on its political correctness and I don’t buy the theory that porn and political incorrectness go hand in hand. That’s not true. Where the porn industry goes, the audience will follow.

And on a lighter note, who knew that facesitting was so popular in Nova Scotia.
