Interesting article in The Japan Times about a recent meeting that was reportedly help by higher-ups in the Japanese porn industry regarding labour rights for workers in the industry.
There was some coverage of this kind of thing a few months ago, I remember. Indeed, said meeting seems to have been a response to a report published in March suggesting that the industry had repeatedly violated the human rights of women especially.
I think that the issue of labour rights is something that the porn industry worldwide should be addressing and held accountable for, not just in Japan. It will be interesting to see if this turn of events will lead to a more worldwide response to the issue.
