But I wonder if Pepper’s Parties Too and anyone else thinking of hosting those viewing parties would do so if they knew about the content of the new movie Fifty Shades Darker, and indeed the source novel.
Both draw parallels between childhood abuse leading to a use of BDSM and fetish in adulthood sex lives. A fact that seems to be escaping the reams of material out there that, while lambasting the quality of these terrible books and films, seem to be missing the most damaging elements of this material.
Increasingly it seems, EL James knows less about this subject than she would be able to fit on the back of a second class postage stamp.
