As revealed by The Independent, the porn industry has been asked to close productions indefinitely by the Free Speech Coalition as the results of a possible HIV positive test are awaited for confirmation.
This is far from the first shut-down, of course, and normally the porn industry is extremely pro-active when it comes to this sort of thing with pretty much everyone agreeing to the calls.
However, it’s the first since porn started coming under fire for being a public health hazard in various states, and it will be a serious test of the industry’s mettle, regardless of what the result of this test is.
