Jon Ronson On Bespoke Porn

There’s always a certain amount of trepidation when a mainstream writer or documentarian visits a porn set. It always feels like the set-up for a piss-take that we’ve seen a thousand times before.
But while Jon Ronson, the excellent British writer, can certainly see the funny side of things when he visits the set of the movie Stepdaughter Cheerleader Orgy, there’s none of the usual mocking tone you expect from these sorts of things in his piece for The Guardian.
It has a lot to say about fetish and bespoke porn that is interesting from an outsider’s perspective. A very worthy read and certainly far more worthwhile than anything Louis Theroux or Nick Broomfield had to say on the topic.
