Malaysia has become the latest country to take it upon itself to blame the ills of its society on pornography, by arbitrarily banning well over 1,000 porn sites – and with more set to be banned over the next few days.
The bright spark behind this decision pictured above, and I’m not going to give him the oxygen of publicity by naming him (he wouldn’t want to be named on a dastardly porn blog anyway, I bet), claims porn is the root cause of social problems in the country.
Once again, porn is the villain and such an easy way to explain away the problems in a country. Politicians will always use it as an easy escape card. Let’s see how long this porn ban lasts….
