In the neck of the woods where I live, a SCANDAL has broken out after it was revealed that a prominent lecturer at Manchester University led a double life as a porn star some years ago.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Nicholas Goddard, otherwise known in porn circles as Old Nick, starred in ‘scores’ of porn films but insists he quit making them a decade ago. That said, he has been in academia for over 35 years so there is a fair amount of crossover.
What seems remarkable is that it’s taken this long for anyone to discover this as he hardly went to great pains to cover his identity in these movies. Even more bizarre is that he actually didn’t bother to hide his identity!
Full marks to this line in the report, by the way – “His family were apparently unaware of his other job…..often wearing only a gold watch.”
Well, he probably needed to keep an eye on the time to make sure he didn’t miss the afternoon lecture.
