Industry Leaders Quizzed On Incest Porn
A fascinating article by Vice this week asks a question that is taboo even for the porn industry – why is incest porn so popular?
As someone who has been reviewing porn websites and writing on the subject for over a decade, it’s been rare for me to happen across any, what I would call, explicitly incestuous porn. In fact, the bigger porn companies always seem quite clever and subtle with how they approach it.
So, for instance, you will get quite a lot of scenes containing ‘father / daughter’ or ‘mother / daughter’ pairings, for instance, but usually in scenes where the ‘mother’ is ‘teaching’ the ‘daughter’ how to have sex with her boyfriend or where the ‘father’ is despairing over watching his ‘daughter’ fucking some dude he is supposed to dislike on sites like My Daughter’s Fucking A Black Dude. But those are not incest.
The rise in step-sibling porn, however, has been noticeable and huge in the last few years. There are absolutely loads of these sites around, so much so that they lost any taboo-baiting power they had a long time ago. It is in that area where the rise in popularity properly sits.
As for its enduring popularity, well, its taboo nature is probably where it holds most of its power. Each to their own!
