It was a close run thing and, for a while, it really did look wholly probable that all porn shoots in California would be subject to stifling and ridiculous new shooting regulations.
But, as reported by The Guardian, the Occupational Safety And Health Standards Board failed to gain enough votes to push through such legislation – but it was VERY close.
Indeed, in the end a majority of the votes were in favour of the changes, but not enough to enforce the rule changes. Needless to say, the reaction from the porn industry has been one of absolute relief.
So, those of you who were bracing yourself for a sudden rush on condoms and goggles in the porn you were watching can rest easy again – or at least you can for now!
