A developing story has been occurring over social media in the last few days regarding a shoot involving Emma Hix, Emma Starletto and the director Jimmy Lifestyles. You can read more about it on AVN.
This is certainly an important story as relates to the conversations taking place in and out of the industry about consent.
Again, the assumption that adult stars will be ‘up for anything’ is at play here. Clearly Lifestyles has acknowledged his culpability, which is at least a positive step.
My hope is that this case isn’t seen as frivolous. More than anywhere else, conversations need to happen in porn about boundaries and the specifics of them on a shoot.
