#HandsOff Ad Campaign Almost Scoops Cannes Prize

Porn was very much on the lips of many at the Cannes Festival this year, most notably as a result of Gasper Noe’s taboo-busting movie Love and its graphic depictions of sexual acts.

But in the background to that, an ingenious ad campaign also very nearly thrust itself into the major spotlight. The #handsoff campaign masterminded by the legendary Marc Dorcel surrounding his website very nearly scooped a major advertising award at the festival.

The brilliant campaign, which is still running, requires users to keep their hands on the keyboard at all times when watching the site for free – or the screen goes blank and they have to pay to get back in and….enjoy themselves.

It’s a fantastic idea and, once again, shows porn to be at the forefront when it comes to new ideas and innovation. His main official website, Dorcel Club, is also thoroughly awesome.
