Canadian Porn Attitudes Study Causes Controversy

Unsurprisingly, this study is proving to be somewhat contentious because it claims that viewing pornography does not lead to negative attitudes towards women.
Somewhat pouring scorn on the long-held belief that porn causes men to look at women in an altogether more downbeat way, this study claims that it helps strengthen respectful attitudes towards women.
Of course, if the survey had found the opposite then it wouldn’t have proved contentious because it would have painted porn in a bad light. It’s an interesting one, though, and certainly adds more weight to the belief that negative effects of porn are over-estimated in many circles.
