This report by Medianama suggests that a powerful group of female lawyers are pushing through legislation that would see ALL pornographic websites banned in the country, and the shutting down of all file sharing sites and networks.
It’s a disturbing turn of events in a country where the previous porn ban was met with international ridicule and criticism, with the moves being backed by the belief that porn is the root cause of recent attacks against women in the country.
One hopes that, again, common sense prevails but with this proposed ban seemingly having some prominent support behind it, it would seem this issue isn’t going away any time soon.
