Indonesia Bans Tumblr For ‘Pornographic Content’

It’s not been a good months for porn being blocked in countries that seem to think that it’s the end of the world as we, or more specifically they, know it.

The latest victim is Tumblr, which, according to BBC News, has been shut out in Indonesia due to being accused of distributing pornographic content. This comes just a few days after they banned Netflix for refusing to censor its content.

There’s a common theme of countries that are very much ruled by the religious right being shut down in this regard, and such examples are sadly growing in number. And let’s face it – Tumblr really is only good for porn, so this is going to be pretty big for Indonesian fappers.

The best part of this story though is the Indonesian information minister (for ‘information minister’ read ‘censorship zealot’) claiming that he hasn’t told Tumblr yet but that he’ll be telling they’ve been blocked later.
