Utah Successful With Porn ‘Public Health Hazard’ Resolution

So, they did. They actually did it.

Of course, the resolution means absolutely nothing more than the paper it’s written on. For now. But it certainly opens the doors to the possibility of restraints being placed against porn in the near future.

And, of course, once again porn is being blamed for many of society’s ills. How incredibly tiresome.

As was pointed out to me by a good friend on Twitter yesterday, for a state where the Mormon faith is so entrenched, a faith where women are routinely oppressed and objectified, suggesting that porn “teaches that girls are to be used” is some proclamation.

It’s safe to say I won’t be heading for a holiday there any time soon.
