Porn History Hack Fear Over UK Porn ID Law

Just a day after the UK government set a date of April 2018 for when porn sites will be forced to ask for age verification from anybody visiting their sites, a porn watchdog has voiced concerns over the plan.

The Independent reports that the Open Rights Group has said that porn sites could be forced to keep databases of viewing histories from all users to keep track of their age, leading to the possibility of another Ashley Madison-esque hack.

As plans for this are still so vague, such speculation is, at this stage, just that. But as it’s the only seemingly plausible idea that has been suggested for this ludicrous law so far, it perhaps isn’t too far off the mark.
