Mia Khalifa: “I Only Made $12,000 In My Whole Porn Career”

It’s rare to see a porn star, active or otherwise, trending worldwide on Twitter, but that happened a couple of days ago with Mia Khalifa.
Although she has often been in the mainstream spotlight over the last couple of years, this time it was through her revelation that she only made $12,000 in her whole porn career.
It’s worth noting that Khalifa was only an active performer for three months, so the figure, which she revealed after rising star Stephanie Vixen admitted she earned more than that in one month during a Reddit AMA, is possibly somewhat misleading.
Even so, it has opened a debate about whether many performers are getting their financial worth from porn, especially as Khalifa quickly became one of the biggest stars in the industry during her short tenure.
Even more so after it was revealed she does not make any money from a still active ‘official’ site, with The Guardian questioning why society won’t let her move on from her past in an excellent and probing article.
