A predictable side-effect of many sites clamping down on revenge porn is that some of them may well use it as an excuse to clamp down on other content.
Instagram is the first such site unfortunately, as reported in the Daily Mail (sorry). They’ve put a ban on pictures of completely bare buttocks on their site now by vaguely saying that it’s to cut down on pornography and harassment.
What a surprise. What should be a noble cause and decision is used as a way to beat down on legal porn and people who want to show a little skin. Instagram, you suck.
