Herschel Gordon Lewis Dead At 87

The man crowned the Godfather Of Gore, movie director Herschel Gordon Lewis, has died at the age of 87.
Although he became most famous and influential for his low budget and often controversial blood-soaked horror and exploitation movies, he was also one of the key figures in the emergence of ‘nudie cuties’ alongside the likes of Russ Meyer.
Indeed, his influence on modern pornography can still be felt today with the emergence of several new sites dedicated to producing new material of said genre as well as rediscovering old movies from the genre.
His nudie cutie movies are difficult to find nowadays but certainly worth tracking down if you have an interest in that sort of thing.
