Industry Presents Mixed Response To Billie Eilish Porn Comments

The porn industry has never been great at confronting uncomfortable truths about itself. So its somewhat uneven response to Billie Eilish’s remarks about porn is not surprising.
XBiz have, in particular, posted a hysterical op-ed that claims she went on an “anti-porn tirade”. She did not. At no point did she suggest that all porn should be shut down.
For as much as porn likes to think it’s become more progressive and open to ‘new’ ideas, it’s still terrible at handling constructive criticism and concern. In short, porn needs to grow up and listen to those who are most affected by the image it largely portrays – that of young women. Billie Eilish is one of those.
