FreeOnes Update for January 2024

I can’t believe it’s already the end of January 2024! The FreeOnes Team hit the floor running so this past month went by in an absolute blur!

I know for January we didn’t get any big updates on FreeOnes.com that you can see. Nearly everything we’ve been working on has been under the hood.

Introducing 4k Videos

We’ve put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into our video infrastructure the past few months. This should allow us to give you the best quality videos that we can! Of course the top of the line is 4k!

Guess what? You can now watch over 600 4k videos right now!

The Creation of FreeOnes Tube

At the end of November 2023, we announced the launch of FreeOnes Tube.

As discussed in the FreeOnes Tube launch article, this was a POC (proof of concept) for creating more sites on WordPress.

That’s what we’ve been working on through the month of January. FreeOnes’s parent company owns a few sites that it’s working on switching from it’s own hellish CMS to WordPress.

If we can get these other sites to work as we want, two possible things will be happening through 2024:

We’d switch the frontend of FreeOnes to WordPress for easier managememt.
We’d be able to pop up more niche sites. So if you’re really into a niche, we could potentially send all of the content and news for that type of content into it’s own site!

Updating the FreeOnes Admin

And of course since the FreeOnes admin is going to be the “command center” for all sites we own, we’ve been having to do some major updates there.

When we upload videos or photo content to the admin, we will be able to choose which site(s) it goes off to. Or, if it stays exclusive only to FreeOnes!

Additionally, we’ve now made room for male performers. Sometime this year you may be able to go to the performer section of James Deen or Rocco Siffredi and see all of the videos they’ve fucked porn stars in!

Premium+ Content

Something else that we worked heavily on last year, and we’re continuing this year is Premium+ content.

What is Premium+ Content

Currently you have Premium content you can spend your credits on. This is all content FreeOnes has purchased the license to.

Premium+ content will be coming directly from the content creator. This means verified performers as well as the different Channels themselves!

This is what’s been done so far (not everything is accessible yet):

female performers can become verified on FreeOnes and get a section
verified performers can upload content to FreeOnes
performers can submit their ID for payment verification
invoices can be created and paid out within the FreeOnes admin

Now this is what we need to finish so we can connect everything:

the commission management admin
ability for performers to cash out donated credits
ability for Premium+ sellers to request payout
displaying Premium+ content on the frontend

This may not seem like a lot, however the commission feature is almost 3 days of programming alone. This isn’t including the extensive testing of the feature we need to do!

The same goes for allowing Premium+ sellers to request payout. While we made sure to keep this scenario in mind when we build the invoicing system (which is used for internal purposes at the moment) we’re going to have to add and adjust some of the programming to include the sellers.

However, I’m confident that we’ll be ready to start onboarding content creators by summer!

Premium Content Update(s)

Along with the Premium+ update, we’ll be updating the regular premium content to be able to be purchased with a credit card. We’re also working on getting even more content!

Purchasing Premium Content with a Credit Card

Anything that’s $3.00 or more will be able to be purchased directly.

We’re not sure at this point if we’re going to mess with a shopping cart so you can make multiple purchases at once. Anyone who’s been involved with developing and programming shopping carts knows that this is kind of a nightmare to do custom. I’m hoping we can use something out of the box.
