UK Internet Customers Warned Over ‘Cash For Porn’ Letters

November 18, 2015, by Steve

A bit of an alarming story in the UK today, as covered by the BBC, which tells of a company which is sending letters to thousands of Sky customers demanding they pay money for illegally downloading porn.

The company in question are called Golden Eye and have been linked to the amazing practice of speculative invoicing. It’s amazing in that it’s allowed to be legal in this country.

Basically, if you are somebody who receives a letter from this company, don’t send them a penny. Don’t acknowledge their letters and ignore them.

Also, cancel being a Sky broadband customer because if they are happy to roll over that easily and hand over your details to some dodgy bastard company, you are better off not being with them. Just don’t go to Virgin Media. Because they suck.

Additionally, if you are a porn company that have hired this company to do this, then you are scum. Plain and simple. Protect your content better.
