UK Soap Opera Praised For Revenge Porn Storyline

A revenge porn storyline that has been ongoing in the long-running UK soap opera Coronation Street has received praise from the press for its handling of the issues surrounding the crime.
Reported to be the first mainstream TV show, at least in the UK, to tackle the subject, the writers and actors involved in the storyline have all been acclaimed for the handling of recent episodes.
Certainly, it’s quite a risqué storyline for a soap opera which broadcasts on network TV at 7:30pm to take on, but the sensitivity with which it has handled it has led to no complaints – and a reported increase in awareness of the crime.
Good arrows all round, I think.
