  • Vice Examine Instagram Closing Of Porn Performer Accounts

AVN reports that Vice are investigating why Instagram have been so aggressive in taking down accounts by adult performers. See, this is extremely concerning to me. Because the vast majority of performers know the limits of what they can post and most use it for very personal use only. To have accounts taking down for…

  • Irish Government Considering UK-esque ‘Porn Block’

    —

    by

    in

I guess this was inevitable. Considering that Ireland is considerably more religiously conservative when it comes to sex and porn, it was even more inevitable. In fact, it’s perhaps surprising they didn’t have such a block in before the UK, all things considered. Clearly they’re not concerned that even those running it don’t think it…

  • New Chrome Update ‘Swerves UK Porn Block’

Oh man, this is just gets better and better. And, you know, it’s not like Google are fiercely pro-porn or anything. Far from it, they love censoring anything slightly rude from their searches. This latest news is not only good (even if it could be changed in the next three months) but also another hilarious…

  • British Porn Block Moved To July 15th

They really mean it this time! How stupid they will look if they end up moving the turn-off date for a third time will be entertaining to see. But in the above article you’ve even got a minister admitting that people will just use VPNs to get round it. SO WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT?…

  • UK Porn Block Delayed

Two days before the UK porn block was supposed to take effect – and it’s been delayed. Again. The noise of celebration has been drowned out by the noise of people chuckling in utter sarcastic shock at this news. This shitshow of an idea has already been delayed by a year as it is. And,…

  • Tumblr Traffic Down By 20% After Porn Ban

    by

    Steve
    in

Well, I never saw that coming! That is a huge drop as well, and it’s only likely to drop further because they are still purging their site of adult accounts. Clearly the people behind Tumblr hate making money, that’s the only explanation for such a monumentally idiotic decision.

  • Academic Shoots Down ‘Public Health Crisis’ Theory

With all due respect to ScienceAlert, it’s a shame this great article is not being carried by a bigger platform. A point by point takedown of this ludicrous trend of branding porn usage as a public health crisis, it’s a superlative piece of research. It doesn’t shy away from pointing out where porn is problematic,…

  • Bangladesh Porn Shutdown Now Covers 20,000 Sites

I blogged a few days ago about the Bangladeshi porn clampdown. But the situation has worsened in the last few days. According to this article, the censorship spree now covers over 20,000 porn sites. Which, of course, is only a splash in the ocean. But it is believed to cover many of the biggest porn…

  • Bangladeshi Government Blocks Over 1,500 Porn Sites

Bangladesh has joined the growing list of Asian nations to effect a mass block of porn websites. Over 1,500 have been blocked in the last few weeks. This is in addition to a mass block of gambling websites as well. Sometimes it feels like we’re not living in 2019. It feels like we’re living in…

  • Arizona Considers ‘Public Health Hazard’ Warning On Porn

Ugh. I thought we were over this ‘public health hazard’ shit. But apparently not! It’s absolutely astounding that there’s anyone actually buys this. It makes porn sound like a mumps epidemic. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to keep ‘perpetuating a sexually toxic environment’ without Arizona! Maybe.

  • UK Porn Block “One Of The Worst Ideas Ever”

    —

    by

    Steve

Wired have blogged on why the still delayed UK porn block is one of the worst ideas ever – an opinion we frankly agree with. As things stand, nobody seems entirely sure exactly when this block will be introduced. UK politics seems rather busy with Brexit, which is another fucking dumb idea in itself. It…
